Fabricio Camoes

Fabrício “Morango” Camões has been one of the best kept secrets in the
155lb. weight class. After his American debut in ShoXC in which he knocked
out heavily favored Joe Camacho, the world began to notice the Brazilian
Jiu-Jitsu fighter with dynamite hands. Fabrício made quick work of Camacho
stopping him in round one ending his five fight winning streak. Next Fabricio
quickly defeated “Ultimate Fighter” finalist Sam Morgan in only 47 seconds of
the first round by rear naked choke.
Like many kids in Brazil, Fabrício was enrolled in martial arts by his parents so he would stay out of trouble. Beginning
with Judo at age 8, Fabrício quickly accelerated and moved on to the more aggressive style of Muay Thai training under renowned Muay Thai instructor Luiz
Alvez.
At age 15 Fabrício also begain to train with Jiu-Jitsu legend, Royler
Gracie. In the following years Fabrício amassed an impressive record in Jiu-Jitsu, including the 2005 European Middleweight Championship. Fabrício is also
a 2x Brazilian Middleweight Champion and 6x Rio De Janeiro State Middle-
weight Champion.
Fascinated by the “Vale Tudo” matches that were going on
in and around Rio, Fabrício entered his first MMA fight at age 17, a tournament
where he won his first fight and lost his second fight to Anderson “The Spider”
Silva.
Fabrício currently lives and trains in San Diego, CA under the watchful
eye of Jiu-Jitsu wizard and Royler Gracie black belt, Saulo Ribero. Fabrício’s
training partners include Jiu-Jitsu champions Ronaldo “Jacaré” de Souza, André Galvão and felow Bad Boy Fighter Diego “The Nightmare” Sanchez.
